PatBase Basics

This course is ideal for all PatBase Users: with the help of special exercises, users will improve their search strategies and achieve a thorough understanding of PatBase. It covers the PatBase family definition, PatBase commands, basic searching using the search form and the command line, use of truncation and search operators, displaying search results and working with search results: Highlighting, Full-text, Citations, Folders, Exporting, Statistical analysis.

Advanced Patent Searching

The advanced will cover in details the new features and enhancements to PatBase that have recently been released or will be released shortly.

In addition to this the course is going to focus in on advanced date, assignee and citation searching in combination with the Advanced Statistical Analysis functions. By combining all these powerful tools you will learn how to effectively work through different case studies specifically designed to demonstrate the capabilities and limits of PatBase.
